Take Time for You - Even If You Can't Fit in a Yoga Pose
Just now I received an email that really hit home. I
find myself always feeling stressed due to lack of time,
but try and force myself to take a few minutes for
myself.
Read the article and head the advice...it's well worth
it as are you.
=============================
Hello again, it's Della,
I don't know about you, but I am the type of person who is
very goal-oriented. When I have a goal that I am working
on, I get very excited about the idea of accomplishing it.
I work hard to do the things that are necessary to achieve
the goal, but then something else happens.
I become obsessed with the goal. Whenever I am working on
the goal, I am thinking about all of the other things I need
to do to make the goal a reality.
When I am doing something else, (like eating, getting
dressed, or even sleeping), my mind is fixated on all of the
tasks that I still need to do in order to accomplish my
goal. I begin to feel stressed and overwhelmed.
I have often been told that I need to go home and, for at
least several minutes each day, do absolutely - NOTHING.
The thought is terrifying because I have so many things I
need to do and there is never enough time. I don't have
time to do nothing.
Does this sound like you? Do you feel that you have too
many things to do and never enough time to do them? Do you
feel like you couldn't possibly take a few minutes each day
to do nothing, but just breathe and take a few moments to
relax?
Well, the truth is that no matter how busy you are, you do
have a few minutes each day to spare. You can find some
time (even if it's only fifteen minutes) to just do nothing
but be in the moment.
Not only do you deserve to take some time for yourself,
doing this will also make you more relaxed and productive
throughout the day.
One of the things you can do during this precious time is a
yoga pose or two. You are not doing it for any reason other
than it feels so good. If you can't fit in a pose, then
take a few moments to breathe deeply. Surely you can find
the time to close your eyes and breathe.
Being still is not something that comes naturally to me.
However, I have learned to take time each day to breathe,
focus inward, and take my attention away from all the things
that are going on in my life.
If I can find the time to do it, so can you. (Find out how
you can use yoga DVD's quickly and easily. Check out this
article at http://www.beauty-fitness-yoga-source.com/yoga-DVDs.html)
Make a commitment to yourself to find a few minutes each day
that are just for you. You are worth it and your whole life
will change for the better.
